Cokeville earns another state volleyball title

The Cokeville Lady Panthers were crowned the 1A State Volleyball Champions in Casper on Saturday, Nov. 3. Cokeville also won the title last year, and the win this season made it the school’s 23rd state title in volleyball.

The Lady Panthers had a perfect tournament to end a wonderful year of Lady Panther volleyball. The team began its quest for the title on Thursday, Nov. 1, facing off against Arvada-Clearmont. Cokeville won this match in three sets, 25–15, 25–19, 25–21. This win placed Cokeville in the semifinal match against Saratoga. Cokeville again swept the match in three sets, 25–6, 25–12, 25–11.

The championship match pitted the Lady Panthers against the Lady Miners of Hanna Elk Mountain. The Lady Panthers dominated the match, winning all three sets, 25–11, 25–6, 25–11.

The Lady Panthers played very well as a team with a lot of enthusiasm and energy. The Cokeville community is proud of the team for this outstanding accomplishment and for the great winners they are on and off the court.
