The Cokeville Panthers’ football team hosted the Southeast Cyclones on Friday, Oct. 27, in the first round of playoff action.
It was a beautiful fall day at Panther field, and the Panthers had prepared for a battle.
The Panthers put scored early in the first quarter, but the Cyclones kept them at bay until late in the second quarter, when the Panthers struck again with just a couple minutes to go in the half.
This score gave the Panthers a 14–0 lead, not quite the cushion the Panthers have been used to throughout the season.
But with just a short time on the clock before the half, the Cyclones turned the ball over and the Panthers were able to strike again to extend their lead at the half 21–0.
The Cyclones continued to put up a fight, but the Panthers put 14 more points on the score board in the third quarter, widening their lead to 35–0.
Now the Panthers could taste the playoff win, and in the end defeated the Cyclones 42–0.
