The Cokeville boys’ basketball team competed in the Bridger Valley basketball tournament on Friday, Dec. 7, and Saturday, Dec. 8. On Friday the boys defeated the Cougars of Wind River 59–52. This win put them in the semi-final game against the Buffs of Mountain View. The Panthers were again victorious, taking the win 60–57. The championship matched the Panthers with the Pronghorns of Farson.

It was a physical battle and the Panthers came up short 31–45 to bring home second place honors.

The Lady Panthers basketball team also competed in the Bridger Valley tournament last weekend. On Friday the Cokeville girls defeated the Lady Punchers of Big Piney 45–18. Ten girls scored in the game, with Kamille Nate leading their scoring with nine points. Saturday Cokeville was in the semi-final game against the Lady Buffs of Mountain View.

The Lady Panthers were only down 24–25 at the half but the Lady Buffs owned the second half to take the win 56–29 over the Lady Panthers. Kamille Nate had 16 points for the Lady Panthers. This put the Lady Panthers in the 3rd/4th place game against Butte County, Idaho. Again ten Lady Panthers were on the board and Kamille Nate led the scoring with 16 points. The Lady Panthers took the third place game 55-37.
