Cokeville basketball teams play Encampment, Little Snake River

The Cokeville Panthers boys' basketball team traveled to Encampment on Thursday, Jan. 31, for a rescheduled game with the Tigers. The Panthers led throughout the game but came up short in the fourth quarter, falling 60-56. Andrew Thomas had 18 points to lead the Panther scoring. Matt Thomas added 15 points, Hayden Hatch had 9 and Nate Barnes had 8.

The Panthers then traveled to Snake River to play the Rattlers in the "Snake Pit." This is always a tough place to play, but the Panthers played a great game and came away victorious with the huge conference road win, 53-50. Andrew Thomas had 23 points. Kyle Wayment had 12 points and Matt Thomas and Hayden Hatch each had 8 points.

The Cokeville boys will be home this weekend for two very important conference games as they wind down the regular season. Friday they will host the Encampment Tigers for a rematch, and then Saturday play the Saratoga Panthers.

The Lady Panthers were on the road last week as they traveled to Encampment on Thursday and Snake River on Friday. The Lady Panthers played a hard game on Friday against the Lady Tigers and came away with the win 48-31. Kylee Dayton had 12 points, 5 steals and 4 assists. Emma Teichert and Tana Teichert had 4 assists.

On Friday they traveled to Snake River to take on the Lady Rattlers on their home court. The Lady Panthers again came away with a huge win, 61- 38. Emmie Barnes had 20 points and 7 rebounds. Kamille Nate had 13 points and 8 rebounds. Kylee Dayton had 12 points and 5 steals and Emma Teichert had 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. The Cokeville girls will host the Lady Tigers of Encampment on Friday and the Lady Panthers of Saratoga on Saturday.
