Lady Panthers Basketball

The Cokeville Lady Panthers basketball team competed in a tournament in Shoshoni on Dec. 15 and 16. Their first game was against the Lady Bobcats of Upton. The Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Bobcats 76–34. Whytney Murdock led the scoring with 16 points, followed by Kamille Nate with 13 points, Lexia Brown with 10 and Kassidy King with 10. Kassidy King had seven rebounds and Lexia Brown had six. Janae Teichert also had six rebounds, eight assists and four steals. Emma Teichert had six assists and Janetta Teichert had five assists and four steals.

Saturday the Lady Panthers faced Meeteetse and again won easily 60–30. Janetta Teichert had 11 points and six steals. Kamille Nate had 10 points. Emma Tonga had 10 points and seven rebounds. Lexi Brown had 10 points. Emma Teichert pulled down seven rebounds, Kassidy King had six rebounds and Janae Teichert had six steals and four assists.

Their final game of the tournament was against the Lady Rams of Dubois. The Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Rams 75–35. Whytney Murdock had 14 points and four rebounds. Kassidy King had 14 points and Lexi Brown had 12 points. Katelyn Petersen had four rebounds and four assists, Janae Teichert had four assists, Tana Teichert had four assists, Janetta Teichert had four steals and Emma Tonga had four steals.

The Lady Panthers will have their first home game of the season on Thursday, Dec. 21, where they will host North Gem.

Panthers Boys' Basketball 

The Panthers boys' basketball team also traveled to Shoshoni on Dec. 15 and 16 to compete in a tournament. Their first game on Friday was against the Bobcats of Upton. The Panthers fell 62–35. Andrew Thomas had 11 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Tyler Moyes had seven points, six rebounds and three assists. Jake Harmon had seven rebounds.

Saturday the Panthers began their day with Meeteetse, a game they won easily 67–27. Andrew Thomas had 25 points. Seth Toomer had 12 points, seven assists and three rebounds. Michael Moyes had five rebounds.

The boys' final game of the weekend was against the Rams of Dubois. Again the Panthers won easily 60–12. Sterling Murdock had 16 points and five rebounds. Andrew Thomas had 13 points. Seth Toomer and Michael Moyes each had three assists.

The Panthers will host the Cowboys of North Gem onThursday, Dec. 21.
