The Kemmerer Police Department and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department have responded to burglaries at two downtown Kemmerer bars in September.

The Stock Exchange was burglarized in the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 28.

The Eagles bar was reported as broken into on Saturday, Sept. 2. An ATM was stolen.

The Kemmerer Police Department was unable to comment about the burglaries at press time.

Representatives from the Eagles and the Stock Exchange preferred not to discuss details of the robberies, as the cases are still under investigation by the Kemmerer Police Department.

Although the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the case, the case is in the jurisdiction of the Kemmerer Police Department, so the Sheriff’s Office is currently unable to comment.

The burglaries may be connected to other similar break-ins in Evanston, Rock Springs, Green River and even Summit County, Utah, according to Evanston law enforcement.

If the public has any information about these burglaries they should contact the Kemmerer Police Department.
